De Pere Wedding
De Pere is a city located in Brown County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2004 census estimate, the city had a total population of 22,875. In 1671 French Jesuit explorer Pre Claude-Jean Allouez founded the St. Francis Xavier Mission at the last set of rapids on the Fox River before entering the Bay of Green Bay. The site was known as Rapides Des Pres (rapids of the fathers) which became modern day De Pere. St. Norbert College, which abuts the banks of the Fox River on the city's west side, was founded by Norbertine Abbot Pennings in 1898. De Pere is located at 4426'28" North, 884'6" West (44.441041, -88.068429)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.3 km (11.3 mi). 27.5 km (10.6 mi) of it is land and 1.8 km (0.7 mi) of it is water. The total area is 6.27% water.
